After obtaining his Primary Medical Degree (MBChB) from Sheffield University (UK) in 2002, he was selectively appointed to both basic and higher specialist training programmes in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Duncan returned to Perth in 2016 to take up consultant posts at both Fiona Stanley and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Here he has continued his dedicated work in surgical oncology, focusing on skin and melanoma and microsurgical reconstruction (predominantly Autologous Breast Reconstruction).
Having already performed over 1000 “free tissue transfers”, he is a highly experienced and well-respected expert in this field locally and internationally. Duncan has published in numerous International Peer Review Journals and presented nationally and internationally, and he continues his enthusiasm for teaching locally and through instructional courses.

As Dr. Duncan Taylor's dedicated theatre nurse, Nikki brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to her role.
Joining Dr Duncan Taylor's team in 2021 Nikki brings military precision, a deep understanding of trauma care, and the importance of human connection and support throughout treatment and procedures.
Nikki's journey in healthcare began in 2001 as a military nurse for Princess Mary's Royal Air Force. She served in several diverse locations in the United Kingdom and Iraq. She was honoured with the OP TELIC Medal in 2006.
During her 14-year career as a Nurse in the military, Nikki developed her skills as a Ward Nurse, moving into a perioperative practice in 2007.
In 2015, Nikki immigrated to Australia as a Clinical Nurse in Burns and Reconstructive Surgery at Fiona Stanley Hospital. Here, she continued her progressive work in holistic care.
Nikki believes that a supported journey, where every patient feels safe, heard and cared for, is as important as the outcomes of the surgery.
