What is a “Mummy Makeover”?
A Mummy Makeover consists of a surgery combining multiple procedures to help with concerns regularly seen by women postpartum. This surgery combines a Tummy Tuck with a Breast Lift and Breast Enhancement (Augmentation).
Postpartum women often complain of excess breast skin and deflated breast volume after breastfeeding. This surgery will remove the excess sagging skin from the breasts and lift the nipples. The depleted breast volume is then resolved with implants or fat injections/fat grafting.
Postpartum patients also complain of excess abdominal skin and abdominal separation from pregnancy. This surgery, therefore, also removes the excess skin with stretch marks on the lower abdomen and repositions the belly button. The rectus muscle is often separated during pregnancy, and this muscle is therefore tightened with sutures.
